This project-based consultancy service supports sites in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a food safety and quality management system that conforms with the requirements of the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety. The service ensures the site is fully prepared for certification by a third-party certification body.

Our approach integrates GFSI-recognized principles, risk-based methodologies, and regulatory compliance to meet both customer and Standard expectations.

Scope of Work

1. Development of the Food Safety and Quality Management System

  • Establishment of the food safety and quality management system in accordance with the clauses of the Standard

    Implementation of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good warehouse practices (GWP) where applicable

    Integration of hazard- and risk-based controls across core program areas (e.g., allergen management, supplier approval, food defense, traceability)

    Development of a documented Food Safety and Quality Culture Plan, including measurable objectives

2. Documented Procedures and Operational Controls

  • Identification of processes requiring documented procedures, work instructions, and records

    Drafting of site-specific documentation including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), records, and training modules

    Provision of digital-ready templates with version control protocols, aligned to clause 3.2 on documentation control

3. Document Control and Record-Keeping System

  • Setup of document control systems that ensure current, approved versions are in use

    Creation of electronic registers and audit trails to demonstrate traceability and verification

4. Food Safety and Quality Culture Plan Development

  • Support in establishing performance metrics and governance for culture monitoring

    Development of tools for internal surveys, assessments, and review by senior management

5. Internal Team Support and Competency Mapping

  • Identification of responsible personnel, including the HACCP team leader and internal audit team

    Guidance on required competency and training in accordance with clause 1.1.6 (Training and Competence)

6. Certification Planning and Audit Preparation

  • Assistance in defining the scope of certification, including product categories and exclusions

    Conduct of internal system reviews, pre-assessment audits, and post-audit support as required

    Development of corrective action plans (CAPAs) to address non-conformities

7. (Optional) Environmental Monitoring and Sustainability Alignment

  • Advisory support on environmental risk assessment in high-risk and high-care areas

    Guidance on incorporating sustainability practices, where applicable, into the site's management system
