Who This Service Is For

  • This service is ideal for facilities preparing for a BRCGS certification audit. It is recommended to be conducted after the facility has accumulated at least 3 months of operational and system records, and prior to the official third-party audit.

We combine a detailed Implementation Gap Assessment with a formal Internal Audit to thoroughly evaluate your system’s readiness, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions—setting your team up for audit success.

Scope of Work

1. Pre-Assessment Planning and Consultation

  • Define the facility’s scope, applicable product categories, and BRCGS certification goals

Establish audit schedule and documentation checklist

2. Documentation and Records Review

  • Review 90+ days of food safety and quality system records

Evaluate SOPs, logs, risk assessments, forms, and management reviews for BRCGS alignment

3. Implementation Gap Assessment

  • Assess conformance of programs such as sanitation, allergen management, traceability, supplier approval, and FSVP

    Identify partial or non-compliant areas

Review food defense, food fraud, and risk-based program documentation

4. Internal Audit Execution (Process and Pre-requisite Programs)

  • Conduct a full internal audit against BRCGS requirements

Observe practices on-site or virtually via facility walkthrough, documentation review, and interviews

Document findings in a formal internal audit report

5. Corrective Action Plan Development

  • Prioritize non-conformities and develop a corrective action plan with timelines

    Present findings for management review

6. Final Report and Debrief
